The Centre for Teaching and Learning Baden-Württemberg (HDZ) offers faculty members at state universities and universities of education a diverse annual program with engaging workshops. Core topics include teaching, advising, evaluation, and assessment – all designed to be practice-oriented and directly relevant to everyday academic life. Best of all: even without pursuing the full certificate, you can flexibly attend individual workshops at any HDZ location across Baden-Württemberg.
What is the Certificate Program?
The the Baden-Württemberg Certificate for Teaching and Learning at University Level is structured in modules, combining workshops, practice consultations, and classroom observations into a comprehensive program aligned with international standards. You decide: either complete the full certificate or participate flexibly in individual modules and events throughout Baden-Württemberg.

You can register online through the HDZ website. Cancellations are free if made at least 14 days before the course begins.

Online Courses: Live sessions are usually conducted via Webex, and self-paced learning is typically done through ILIAS.
In-Person Courses: On-site courses generally take place at Azenbergstraße 16, 70174 Stuttgart, Room 1.111.
For in-person courses, light refreshments are provided (pretzels, coffee, tea, etc.).
